It only takes a small amount of nicely done merman pics over at y!G to convince me to do some of my own. And who better to try it on than our main three boys from Rockman.EXE!

I made a decent attempt to "regionalize" the fish used to model their lower halves. At first, I was going to use fish that had similar colorings to the clothes they wear, but that was a royal pain. Then it made more sense to me to make the fish they took characteristics of to be from the countries they're from, even if the countries have different names in the R.EXE series (with the exclusion of Japan, which still has the same name).

Let's start with Netto. Little Netto-kun is a Japanese Platinum, a kind of guppy: [link] Sort of a pun on him being a small fry. *shot* Most guppies have fan-shaped tails; his got split somehow.

Enzan is a Tamasaba kingyo: [link] another small Japanese fish. I liked this one because of its' strong red-and-white pattern, which reminded me of two of Enzan and Blues' team colors.

Last but not least (at least not in my book), Laika is a Russian sturgeon: [link] . Sturgeons have long "snouts", kind of a reference to Laika's odd nose. They have very pretty tails, though.

Very nicely done. Kinda reminded me of the Little Mermaid stage of Kindom Hearts for a moment...if it were digital, made up of code, and on the internet and had viruses... ">> (funny enough 3 out of 4 statements are true in a way ^_^")
